The assignments have been sent out, so please check your inboxes! If you don't see an email from ncisficathonmods at gmail, please make sure that the message didn't end up in your spam folder.

I'd really appreciate it if you confirmed having received your assignment, either by replying to the email or by leaving a quick comment here.

Next week you'll find a "grab-your-posting-date" post here, so keep an eye on this comm!

Please remember: You have about two months to write your story (posting starts in November), and you only need to write 1 story (minimum word count: 1,000 words).

Some of the match ups were rather difficult, so you might have to leave your usual comfort zone a wee bit. I tried to do my best to give everyone something to work with, though. If, however, you have any kind of real problem with your assignment, please don't hesitate to let me know!

Are we to presume that the three specific prompts are the preferred stories the prompter would like to read? And the non-specific ones are backups, in effect? I want to write what the prompter really wants, obviously, but a non-specific one is stirring my imagination more at this moment.

You got it in one. :) Basically, the non-specific prompts are back-ups in case the specific prompts don't inspire you. So, it's perfectly okay to write something based on a non-specific prompt, since the non-specific prompts are also things the prompter would like to read! :)
