Please post your stories *directly* to the comm

Hey guys,

This is the highest number of people I've seen in any round posting the chapters to your journal and linking to that. The rules state that stories should be posted directly to the comm. This is so that if something happens to your journal, there's still a copy here. After all, it is a gift fic.

So, please, make sure you read the rules before you post!

In the mod post directly below this one (when in the 'mod' tag), you have this sentence:

Feel free to link from your personal LJ to your post here, but do not post to any fanfic communities.

I think a lot of us are reading this as, it's okay to post in your LJ and then drop links to THIS comm, just not any others.

Not arguing about reposting (I have to format 4 posts, though, so it may be tomorrow before it happens. Sorry) - just pointing out what I think is causing us to act the way we are. :)

Thanks for the heads up on what may be confusing people. I'll try and go back and clarify. I think the original intention of that was to say that if you'd like to post the full fic here and then post a link on your personal lj to the fic here that would be fine. :)

I can't of course speak for Rinkle and I may have just copy/pasted incorrectly, but that's my interpretation of that.

I can understand that possibly causing some confusion, but the sentence *before* that in the post says:
Post you stories directly to the comm.

And it does say feel free to link *from* your personal LJ. Not *to* your personal LJ. It's the same wording as the post from last year and I had very few issues with this last year.

I will change the wording for next year to try and make it clearer, but I haven't had this many problems before with this.

Since I posted to the comm anyway I have nothing to say to this topic, however, I was wondering if you have a list of fics that are being written by pinch writers and when those are gonna be finished. Would be great to know as my story hasn't appeared yet...

A lot of stories should be posted by Sept 5th. When we get things figured out a bit more, we'll let you know.
