Author's Note: This was more difficult than I thought. I spent all summer thinking and finally settled for this format. Please let me know how it works. The email-addy for the university is based on their actual e-mails. Yay for research *smile*

Hello!

How are you? I heard you got hurt at work. How can you get hurt in an autopsy-room? Did it have something to do with that thing I heard about on the news? Some maniac who broke in and went berserk or something like that. Let me know, will ya?

I am not so great myself, my scholarship is not enough to support me this year and I need to be looking for a job, you don't happen to know of one? I'd rather avoid the burger joints if I can but I also would rather eat than starve if you know what I mean.

In other news I got a new roommate, he is not as great as you obviously but still he is passable. If I get a job I wanna move off-campus though, would be nice to have my own place for once.

Anyways, take care and let me know how you are!

Regards

Jimmy

Hey!

You got SHOT?! Damn, they didn't say anything about that on the news, I just thought it was a random loony or something. I'm glad you are ok but it sucks you have to stop working.. do you know for how long?

I still haven't found a job either, do you think I should try for yours? You wouldn't mind would you? The new roommate is working out ... kind of. I think we are getting into that phase the psych-professor was talking about, the one where you grate on each others nerves. I don't remember it being this bad when I lived with you though... I really would like that job so I can get away from this. He leaves his MSN-sounds on and I am getting rather tired of that ”You got a new message”-sound... Gah!

But anyways... take care and good luck in your physiotherapy! I hope you got a nice looking therapist at least :)

Regards

Jimmy

Hey!

I am glad to hear the therapy is going well. Joint-damage is not something to play with so do take it carefully. What are the prognosis by the way? Will you be fully recovered or...

Anyways, I am writing to tell you that I got a shot at your job (forgive the pun), I applied and Dr Mallard wants me to come on for at least a day next week. Do you have any special advice? Anything I need to watch out for or such? I heard he tells lots of stories... is it really that bad? Feels like I am bombarding you with questions but I am a bit nervous. This could be my way to an apartment of my own and you have no idea how much I want that... the roommate has gotten his hands on the latest single from one of those pop-starlets (can never remember the name) and he just won't stop playing it. Gah!

Anyways, I need to do some reviewing of my notes and such, hope to hear from you soon!

Jimmy

Hey!

In case you didn't get it from the subject – I GOT THE JOB! I thought I was a goner for sure, especially after being so nervous I repeated everything Dr Mallard said in the first autopsy and interrupting (I wish I had read you mail before that) and all those silly things and still I GOT IT. I am so happy... I am already looking for a new apartment and soon I will be free of the horrors of pop-starletdome. It is even more horrid right now as I have a terrible head cold and it just goes on and on and on... but still - as soon as I can find a decent place I am out of here!

Take care!

Jimmy

PS. How is it going with that nurse?

PS 2. We have the most interesting case right now... a meat puzzle!

Hey!

I know why you loved working here so much now. I it GREAT I love Dr Mallards stories, I'm not that scared of Gibbs anymore and there is Abby... man I can't belive you didn't tell me about her before! She is great, funny, sexy, nice... I think I am getting a crush. I don't think she would go for me though... and she is probably taken anyway. I never thought I would think gunpowder smelled sexy...

Anyways, life is good now – I got my own place finally. It's small and a bit run down but it is mine! No pesky roommates (hehe) and decent neighbors. Now if I could just find a girl everything would be perfect.

How is your shoulder by the way? Would you be up for something this weekend. A movie or something like that maybe... I hear they got a new sounds system at that place downtown so it might be worth a try. It would give us a chance to catch up properly. Give me a call, ok?

Jimmy

PS. Still working on that meat puzzle. We are up to three bodies now...

Subject: Puzzle solved...

Hey!

You know that meat puzzle I was talking about – you'll never guess what it turned out to be! There was some of the people who had worked with Dr Mallard on a case a long time ago. Turns out they where after Dr Mallard all the time and it was a close shave before the team caught the bad guys and saved Dr Mallard. There are some really strange people in the world. Imagine this, the woman actually pulled all the teeth from her adult son and put them in another body which was then incinerated. Strange people indeed.

Anyways, the bad guys are caught and Dr Mallard and his mother are safe in their home. How have you been? I really enjoyed our outing and that deli you recommended has quickly become my favorite lunch-place. Wanna hang out again soon? I lost a few of my friends when I moved off campus and started working on my thesis instead of ging to class and it is always nice to have a friend with whom you can talk autopsy without them getting squeamish. So, give me a call some time, if you can get away from that cute girlfriend of yours that is.. she almost makes me want to hurt something too...

Talk to you later!

Jimmy

*bangs head on desk* I hope it works now...
