The Official Beta Post!

Hello fellow ficathoneers!

We only want the best for our prompters, right? And so we want to make sure that the stories we post are polished to a shine. A beta reader can help a lot in that regard, and us mods ask everyone to please have your story beta-read.

If you do not have a beta, please comment here! If you could add some information on what kind of help you're looking for (grammar, plot, characterization, continuity, whatever), that would be great. Also, please provide some general information about your story (just the very basics, as not to spoil your prompter!), like if the story is gen, het or slash or if there are any specific warnings like character death to consider. That way, a potential beta reader can decide whether or not they feel that they can help you.

Also, if you would like to offer your betaing skills, please comment here! Let us know what your strengths and weaknesses are, and what you're willing or not willing to beta (see above). If there's an author who thinks their story might be up your alley, they can then contact you.

Definitely willing to offer my services as a beta. I'm good at punctuation, characterization and story flow. I'm not so good at case fics, but can give it a shot. I'm willing to beta anything.
