Hello, NCIS Ficathon participants! Just wanted to drop a line and introduce your new moderating team!

My name is Jessica // lukecanwaltz88 and my co-moderator is Gaby // sinfulslasher! We both work on the ncis_newsletter; Gaby is our Friday editor, and I'm the Head Editor. We both really, really want to see this LJ fandom jump-start again, and we figured there was no better way than to dive in to the ficathon!

We don't have a set start date yet, but we will keep you posted! It's never too early to prompt brainstorm, so put your thinking caps on!

Hiya there, and sure thing! :)

The very basic basics *g* are that you sign up to the ficathon. There will be a sign up post with a specific form, in which you leave three prompts (one of them will be filled), let us know what you're willing to write and will not write (genre, pairing, rating, etc). Once sign ups are closed, the mod(s) will try to find the perfect match for you, i.e., someone will be assigned to fill one of your prompts and you will be assigned someone else's prompts. That way, if all goes well, everyone who signed up will write one story and will have one story written for them.

Jessica and I are in the middle of tweaking the rules a wee bit so things might changes slightly, but the gist of it is, people sign up to have stories written for them while in return write something for someone else. *g*
