Poll: Posting Dates

Hello everyone!

I'm Gaby, the new co-mod. *waves*

One of the things Jessica and I were discussing was the actual posting process of the next round.

Up until now, we've had a certain time frame (say, two weeks) and everyone could post during this time whenever they wanted. A lot of folks posted on the first day, happy to finally be able to share the goodies, which resulted in a huge wave of new fics and then the rest of the stories trickling in afterwards.

Since I've seen ficathons in other fandoms where everyone had their own specific posting date, we were wondering if folks here would like to give it a try as well. The posting dates are not assigned; the author picks the date on a first come, first serve basis. Schedule tweaking is always allowed, of course. ;-) So, say, during the time frame of two weeks, everyone gets to pick a date, and the stories are posted over the course of these two weeks.

Both Jessica and I will be happy to organize whichever option most participants prefer, so we'd like to ask everyone who's interested in signing up for the next round to please vote below! (Here's hoping the LJ poll thingy works. LJ's been wonky lately... *glares at tech gremlins*)

ETA: Of course the poll didn't work correctly. *grumbles* There was supposed to be a third option, namely that you have another idea and will share it in the comments. So...feel free to comment and discuss! :-)

Preliminary Schedule for Round 7

Hello again, everyone!

Jessica and I would really like to run the next round sometime this year, and not wait until 2014. Of course, we also want to make sure that people can participate without having to pull double-duty for the NCIS Big Bang or any yuletides that may run at the end of the year.

So, we came up with the following preliminary schedule (subject to change...or, at least, be tweaked *g*):
Sign ups: August 1st - August 15th
Sending out assignments: no later than the end of August
Writing: September/October
Posting: starting November 1st

There will be check-in and gentle reminder posts throughout September and October to make sure everyone's busily writing. :-)

So, please put your thinking caps on and try to come up with some prompts! The sign up post will be here before you know it! *g*

By the way, Jessica and I will be slightly tweaking the rules and will post an FAQ/rules entry before long. There won't be any drastic changes, don't worry, because we both think rinkle's been doing an awesome job all those years!

If you do have any ideas/suggestions/concrit, especially anything that you might feel pertains to the rules, please post here (comments are screened).
